Remove Quotes

Brief

The article explains how to remove historical price data from your hard drive.

Details

When you load a chart for the first time, Marketscope retrieves price data from the server. This data includes historical prices and may include current trading day prices. The historical price data is automatically stored on your hard drive. The next time you load the same chart, Marketscope retrieves the historical price data from the hard drive, which is much faster than retrieving data from the server. As for the current trading day price data, it is always retrieved from the server and becomes historical only the next trading day.

Please note that the historical price data of tick charts is never saved on the hard drive of your computer and needs to be retrieved from the server every time you load a tick chart.

You can manage the historical price data by removing quotes of any symbol for one or more years.

To remove quotes

  1. On the File menu, point to Quotes Manager, and then click Remove Quotes.
  2. The Remove Quotes dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Plus button next to the symbol, for which you want to remove quotes, and then select one or more years as you may need.
