Summary Window
Brief
In this window you can see summarized information about open positions for each traded symbol.
Details
The Summary window provides summarized information about open positions for each traded symbol.

The Summary window sorts all open positions by symbol.
When you have multiple positions open for the same symbol, the Summary window automatically compounds these individual trades.
This allows multiple tickets of the same symbol to be grouped together to display information regarding average open price and net P/L.
If you have multiple accounts, in this window you can choose to see open positions of one or all your accounts.
- Symbol provides the symbol of the positions.
- Usd Mr provides the amount of the account equity currently allocated to maintain your open positions.
You can think of Usd Mr as of the trader's collateral for the open positions of the symbol.
The account must maintain at least this amount for the open positions to remain open.
- Amt provides the cumulative amount of all your positions in the symbol in thousands.
- S/B provides the trading operation of all your positions in the symbol.
- Avg Open provides the average open price of all your positions in the symbol.
- Close provides the price which you can currently close all your positions in the symbol at.
- Open Comm provides the amount of the commission that has been charged for opening all positions on the symbol.
The amount is expressed in the account currency. For details, see the Trading Commissions section.
The column may be hidden if no one commission is applicable to the account.
- Close Comm provides the estimated amount of the commission to be charged for closing all positions on the symbol.
The amount is expressed in the account currency. For details, see the Trading Commissions section.
The column may be hidden if no one commission is applicable to the account.
- Gross P/L provides the profit or loss of all your positions. It is provided in the account currency.
- Roll provides the amount of rollover interest received or paid for the positions on rollover.
- Net P/L provides the amount of the current profit or loss of all positions opened on the symbol. The amount includes rollover interest (Roll) ,
the commission that has been charged for opening the positions (Open Comm), and the estimated
commission to be charged for closing the positions (Close Comm). The profit or loss is expressed in the account currency.
The column may be hidden if no one commission is applicable to the account.
- Net Stop provides the price of the net position stop order if there is one.
- Net Stop Move provides the number of pips left until the net position trailing stop order price is moved.
- Net Limit provides the price of the net position limit order if there is one.
Profit/Loss Recalculation Timeout
By the default, the values of Gross P/L and Net P/L are recalculated each time
when the price of a symbol in which you have opened positions is changed. But a great number of opened positions (more than a thousand)
with taking into the consideration the overall performance of your computer may cause the computer to slow down. In this case, you can use a profit/loss recalculation timeout.
The 5
, 10
, and 15
seconds timeouts can be set.
To set the profit/loss recalculation timeout
- On the System menu, click Options.
- On the Options dialog box, under Trading settings click General Trading.
- Click Recalculate P/L by timeout, and then select the timeout of your choice.
